Meet the Team

Greg Harmer is an experienced meat industry professional and business owner who runs a quality butcher shop with strong roots in local community and family values.

He was born and raised right here in the Scenic Rim while also spending lots of time learning to love animals at his grandparent’s farm in Minden.

He has tertiary qualifications in business, giving him a solid foundation for running and growing a small enterprise.

Before starting Harmer Family Meats, he worked for over 17 years with large Australian beef processors where he developed deep expertise in meat quality and processing.

Greg builds personal relationships with the best suppliers across the 4 core proteins. He loves nothing more than to break a carcase down or make some ham and bacon.
